During the Coral Sea's 14th deployment in the Western Pacific, the 300,000 arrested landing was made. This is a record for aircraft carriers.

Personnel who served in the area before 12 April Or after 17 April 1986 must be authorized the Navy or Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal.
